Meet Gino, the Pizza Perfectionist

Gino always had a particular knack for perfecting pizzas. Growing up in southern Italy, he helped his mother squash tomatoes with his feet to make rich marinara for the whole village. It was here that he learned the power of patience and precision while igniting a passion for the process of crafting artisan pizzas.

His pizzas became so perfect that Gino dreamed big of opening a restaurant and becoming a true pizzaiolo. He wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father and his father before him, but not in his little village, Gino was going to go where Italian cuisine was at its most appreciated and authentic…

New York City.

From Village Oven to the Big Apple

With a fair amount of dough saved up, when Gino made it to the Big Apple he quickly found a spot which was primed to present the prosperous people of New York his most prized possession, his perfectly produced pizzas.

Now that his Pizzeria is polished and pristine, Gino’s just missing one thing: You!

He needs some personnel to help him serve his treasured customers. Someone pleasant, polite and personable but most importantly, they must have a powerful memory and a brain as sharp as a pizza cutter. The job isn’t easy, serving Gino’s customers means taking orders from the unique characters that pour in daily from every corner of the globe:

→ Some of the customers are pretty particular about their toppings.

→ Some are pompous perfectionists.

→ Some are even picky about the order that their toppings are added!

No matter how petty a customer may seem it is pivotal that you listen very carefully to their order as you will have to repeat it back to Gino in the correct sequence.

Nail it, and you’ll earn praise from the boss (and a nod from the regulars) but slip up, and you’ll be out the door before you can say “This pizza was unpalatable”.

Final Slice of Advice

Joining Gino’s workforce isn’t just about spreading saucy marinade on delicious dough or adding mouth watering amounts of melted mozzarella. It is the ultimate test of memory, where you have to use your entire brain’s capacity to make sure every single customer leaves having had an experience that makes them fall back in their chair and savour the moment.

Remember, practice makes perfect. So don’t get disheartened if you have a rough patch or your brain can only think of ingredients beginning with P. There’s a lot of rogue requests for toppings and it might take some time to become familiar with the Pizzeria, even Gino forgives the occasional slip.

There is just one thing that Gino will not stand for, it makes his blood boil hotter than piping marinara and he sees it as a personal insult to his Italian heritage…

Do not order Pineapple!

I don’t think I’m allowed to tell you what kind of profanity Gino produces when someone orders pineapple on pizza… so you may have to find out for yourself….

Other than that, we can most definitely say that; Gino’s Pizza is Perfect.
