Mini Games Teams Explained: Fire, Water, Electricity or Grass?

Before you play your very first game in Mini Games, Alexa asks you a big question: which team will you join? It's one of the things that makes Mini Games more than a list of quick games, because every round you play helps your team in a battle that runs all month long.
Here's everything you need to know.
The Four Teams
When you first open Mini Games, you'll be asked to choose one of four teams:
- Team Fire
- Team Water
- Team Electricity
- Team Grass
There's no wrong answer. Pick your favourite element, the colour you like best, or the team your rival didn't choose!
How the Monthly Team Battle Works
The four teams are locked in a monthly battle to collect the most coins. Every game you play in the skill earns coins for your team, whether you're racing zombies, crossing the Bridge of Doom or guessing emoji clues. At the end of the month, the team with the most coins is crowned champion, then the race begins again.
How to Earn More Coins
Every game earns coins, but playing well usually helps. A few examples:
- Sound Snap: harder levels, and finding the matching sounds in fewer guesses, earn more coins.
- Animal Idol: pick the right artist for Cool Fox's gig and you'll earn special Mini Games coins for the leaderboard. Read our Animal Idol guide.

Tips for Helping Your Team
- Play a little every day. Free players get a couple of games a day, and every one adds to your team's total.
- Try something new. With 39 games to choose from, there's bound to be one you're brilliant at. Here are the 9 games added this year.
- Make it a family rivalry. Join different teams in the same house and see who's ahead at the end of the month.

How to Join a Team
- Say "Alexa, open Mini Games".
- Choose Fire, Water, Electricity or Grass when Alexa asks.
- Say "play" and the name of a game to start earning coins, for example "play Sound Snap".
